Anywhere where human beings live, there are some areas that receive a lot of human attention and other areas that receive less. The fact is that we don't have the resources to exert complete control over every inch of the areas where we live.
I'm always intrigued by the look of things on a summer evening, when everything is in bloom, and the colors are bright, but the sun is setting, and sort of absent--hidden behind clouds--and everything has a bluish cast.
You may not find this post much different from the previous, but for me there's a world of difference. I don't mean to say that I'm partial to one or the other--just that as similar as they may seem, they're completely different.
Just down the hill a few paces and then across the street, on the corner, there's a bus stop. There's no shelter or anything; it's just a place where you can get on or off the #10 Capitol Hill.
