Today a couple who live near the Viewpoint kindly invited me in and allowed me to take some photos. I always learn more when I look from a different vantage point.
The View from a Slightly Different Vantage Point, July 10, 2011
So many photographers choose to stand in one certain place at the Viewpoint that there's a little patch of bare earth there. It's just to the left of the laurel, and somewhat to the right of the Lovers--the two old oaks that were brought to the Viewpoint from Denny Park long ago.
This is one of the steeper hills in Seattle. It links Montlake and Interlaken Park. A couple bikers were on their way up. They decided to walk it, instead of biking.
Yesterday I noticed in passing that there was a new bench at the Viewpoint. I didn't get a shot of it until today. Now where is the line between turquoise and aqua?
