It's often said that it's all about positioning. I don't mean to be repetitive, but I'm determined to find the right spot for the thimbleberry blossom.
It looks as though the slugs are beginning to get to these four trilliums. It's a wonder these plants survive at all, with all the ivy and other invasives they have to compete with.
I almost forgot about this photo. I took it a few days ago, on my way to the Viewpoint. For me, these flowers speak to the bounty of fall and, at the same time, to the sadness I sometimes feel as the days grow short.
