By hook or by crook I'm going to make it to the Viewpoint today.

The next one isn't for almost a month.

Looking at the morning paper, I discovered that I missed the last full moon. It slipped right by me.

In fact, interest and boredom can come like waves...

Sometimes it seems like there's not much difference between interesting and boring. They're two sides of one coin.

It's suddenly summer weather. Well, let's say, high spring.

Many days I patiently wait for the moon to become full, knowing that it won't--not on that particular day. So many things are like this.

There's a plant blooming down in the ravines, and I'm afraid I'm missing it. I missed it last year, too. Instead, lilacs again.

This post will have to wait till at least tomorrow to become what it's meant to be. I could say this for many other things, actually.

I haven't gotten around to posting photos of last month's full moon. I just hope I make it before the next full moon rolls around. In the meantime, lilacs.

I missed Opening Day, for the most part. I went to a party, and two people asked what I did. I said I had a blog on the Viewpoint.

It's sometimes claimed that cats are unruly, while dogs are obedient. While there may be a grain of truth to this, nevertheless, dogs can be quite difficult, too. They don't always go where you want them to, as can often be observed in canine-human interactions at the Viewpoint, although not in the case pictured below.

I've found that by moving forward or backward a step or two can drastically alter how I perceive something. Maybe this goes without saying. But then, is it so wrong to delight in stating the obvious?

I hope you won't think I'm repeating myself. A subtle difference in lighting or vantage point can have a strong impact on the message communicated by a given image.

There's often a couple under the laurel tree. Whoever it is who happens to be sitting there will often have been sitting there a long time.

Although there are sunny days at this time of year, there are many rainy ones, too. The weather changes quickly, and often.
