The snow is beginning to seem like a distant dream.

As you move forwards, the red house, of course, gets bigger.

As you can see, this alley looks quite different without the snow.

At this point my camera began to give out. I was doing my best to protect it from moisture, but the snow was quite wet, and flakes kept sticking to my lens, even though I held something over the camera to keep them from falling on it.

Night falls in stages. There are times of night when you're likely to run into other people, and there are other times when you're not.

Some visitors come to the Viewpoint dressed in a mixture of colors and patterns. But some come in an outfit where one color predominates.

And then another photographer showed up. She didn't have anything to protect her camera from the snow, which was doing its best to turn to rain. She moved around quite a bit, so it was difficult to get a good shot of her. The proverbial Sasquatch shot was about all I could muster.

Looking north, I saw many footprints in the snow.

The hawthorns, dusted with snow against a street light made for a beautiful sight.

By the next day, the snowman was gone, too. It always seems so sad when a snowman disappears.

The benches were laden with snow, and there was no evidence of anyone having sat on them.

The park was unusually silent the evening it snowed, which was a few days ago now.

Judging by the trails of footprints in the snow in the vicinity of the Sentinel, I guessed that a number of people had been there in the snow before I had. But they were all gone.

It snowed last night. I went to the Viewpoint. No one was there but a snowman.

Sometimes the movement at the Viewpoint is more to the right, sometimes more to the left, and sometimes in various directions.

The speed at which individuals pass through the territory of the upper park is based, in part, on air temperature and precipitation level.

There was a little snow on the Hill this afternoon, but it didn't stick. There may be some more late tonight and also in a few days, but I'm guessing it's going to be wet snow, turning into rain.

When I visited the Viewpoint this afternoon, it wasn't terribly cold, but it wasn't warm, either. The ground was sort of damp, as was the air, and although there were people there at the Viewpoint when I first got there, they didn't stay long, and then I had to wait a while before new ones filed through. I man showed up with two beautiful slay dogs and set them up on the metal blocks that are part of the park's design so that he could take their photos against the backdrop of the view. I could have taken a photo of him taking photos of his dogs, but I'd set my camera up in the opposite direction, so, instead, I waited to see if he would move that way. I find myself wondering whether I would place the man and his dogs any differently if I did a painting of the same subject. I'm not sure.

At the moment, it's raining, and there's a fair amount of fog. I hear a siren in the distance. It looks like it's going to be overcast for a few days.

There are certain moments when the movement of bodies in and out of the space of the upper park becomes a virtual parade. Dogs and their human walkers add to the sense of procession.

One type of human activity you'll see at the Viewpoint on just about any day of the year is jogging. Most joggers don't spend a long time in the park, instead just jogging through it, but others stop to do cool-down stretching while enjoying the view, and others do their warm-up in the park.

It's hard to know why one person chooses red, while another opts for blue.

Each person who visits the Viewpoint comes in some sort of outfit. Over time, the nature of the clothing one observes on visitors changes in accordance with stylistic trends. But the way these people dress also varies in relation to changes in weather. Temperature, humidity, degree of windiness and level of precipitation all have a bearing on the clothing choices made by individuals who come to the Viewpoint.

At this time of year, when light is limited, people flock to the Viewpoint during the few hours of sunshine.
