Part of the lower road is closed, so it's referred to as the "closed road." But now the road that leads down from 19th and Galer is also closed, for the most part.
It's sometimes hard to know whether you're looking at what remains after something has taken place or what has been put in place in preparation for something that is yet to happen.
When the moon is full, there's always something a little odd in the air. People and other animals seem to behave a little bit differently from the way they normally do. I'm not the first to observe this; I won't be the last.
It's full moon tonight. But I'm not sure you'll be able to see it--if you're in Seattle, that is. Maybe, maybe not. Just in case, I took some photos of the moon last night.
This family was at the Viewpoint for longer than the average time. I'm not sure what made them stay so long. I was quite curious to know, but it's not the sort of thing you just walk up to someboday and ask about.
Today a couple who live near the Viewpoint kindly invited me in and allowed me to take some photos. I always learn more when I look from a different vantage point.

Many people come to the Viewpoint to read. I've done it myself. But it's a strange concept: you come to a place where you can see things a few hundred miles away and you look at something a foot from your face.
