The place where visitors to the park sit or stand the most often, and the longest, in order to take in the view is between the laurel tree and the head of the path. This area of greatest popularity includes the segment of the three-way bench surrounding the laurel tree that faces the Edge. Yes, people sit or stand at other points along the Edge, or elsewhere in the park, especially on the various benches (mostly sitting, in the case of the benches), but in my observation, it's within this area I refer to here that people station themselves the most frequently, and for periods of the longest duration.
