It's already February, and most of the lights have been taken down. But I haven't gotten around to putting this photo up.

Each person who visits the Viewpoint comes in some sort of outfit. Over time, the nature of the clothing one observes on visitors changes in accordance with stylistic trends. But the way these people dress also varies in relation to changes in weather. Temperature, humidity, degree of windiness and level of precipitation all have a bearing on the clothing choices made by individuals who come to the Viewpoint.

The mountains have been out for the last few days.

As I've mentioned, there's an almost constant stream of visitors to the Viewpoint. Day and night, they come from near and far.

It was strangely springlike on this day in late January. Plants are in bloom that normally wouldn't be this early, and the air is heavily laden with their various scents. But looking out over the lake, as I stood at the Viewpoint, I knew it was winter. There was a weight to the scene that you don't feel when all the trees are covered with leaves. Today, most areas beyond the Edge were blue, white, black or gray.

Cold Day in December

It's been a cold day, following several other cold days. The earth at the Viewpoint was frozen, and people weren't lingering long when I was there a little earlier this afternoon.
